During his childhood, he received a rigorous education, learning Confucian classics, military strategy, and foreign languages. He also had a talent for writing poetry, calligraphy, and painting.
Crown Prince Sohyeon was appointed as the head of the royal army at the age of 26 and led his forces in several battles against the invading Manchus. He was widely popular among the people for his virtuous character and his efforts to reform the corrupt government and promote social justice.
Unfortunately, Crown Prince Sohyeon's political aspirations were cut short when he died under mysterious circumstances at the age of 28. There are several theories about his death, with some suggesting that he was poisoned by his political rivals in the court.
